Today, San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus (SFGMC) and the SFGMC Divas announced its 5th Annual Dragathon event - "Dragathon Is Burning!" - on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Café (2369 Market St., San Francisco), raising much-needed funds for the SFGMC Financial Assistance Network (FAN). Admission is free.
Today, we announced our spring fundraising event at the home of Ann & Gordon Getty in San Francisco on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., featuring two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone, and honoring composer Jake Heggie with a Champion Award.
It was 40 years ago when author Armistead Maupin penned the very first article that became the international phenomenon of “Tales Of The City,” bringing the colorful life and times of San Francisco to the entire world. Maupin joins SFGMC for an evening full of stories and music about our home and its heroes, while revisiting this magical work of literature.
Today, we announced the final amount for our 2015 holiday fundraiser, benefiting the Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy (HMCRA), a local K-5 public school in the Castro neighborhood. SFGMC presented a check to HMCRA Principal Ron Machado and members of the Parent Faculty Club in the amount of $30,378.32.

Performances by SFGMC’s favorite Divas, Oasis’ own Baloney cast, and tons more – all emceed by SF’s finest cabaret performer, Tim Wagner!
Members of the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus will be visiting three other spots around the Bay Area for holiday performances this year. The show is an over-the-top celebration, full of joyful, raucous takes on classic favorites, some stunning new choral works, and plenty of kicking up of heels and cutting of rugs, in usual SFGMC style.
James composed the fabulous and stunning #twitterlieder: 15 Tweets in 3 Acts song cycle, which had its world premiere this past spring at Davies Symphony Hall for our show “Passion.” The work was performed at the Twitter world headquarters, has since been recorded by the Chorus (purchase here) and published by E.C. Schirmer.
The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus kicks off Season 38: Expect the Unexpected (subscribe now!) with its fabulous annual fundraising gala, Crescendo Turns 10! This year marks the tenth iteration of SFGMC’s signature fundraiser, and will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 12 – 3 p.m. at The Ritz-Carlton San Francisco
