Christmas in July

In December 2021, three days before Christmas Eve when SFGMC was to open “Home for the Holidays” at the Castro Theatre, we had to make the heartbreaking, but healthy decision to cancel the three performances. This was our first cancellation in our 32 years of performing this beloved holiday event at the Castro. To make matters more disappointing, in his final season with the Chorus, Dr. Timothy Seelig would not get the chance to conduct one of his favorite concerts.

To honor Tim, and try to make up for the missed opportunity, we are going to celebrate “Christmas in July!” Of course, by ‘Christmas’ we mean any kind of winter holiday event you might have an affinity towards. The final 12 days of Tim’s time with SFGMC will fill our social media channels each day with a highlight from his extraordinary 11 and a half years with us. All of this is leading up to Final Words at Davies Symphony Hall on July 13th.
