Vinney (he/him) was born and raised in San Francisco. He has had a varied career as a high school educator, clinical researcher, writer, software engineer, and, now, fundraiser at UCSF. In the community, Vinney has been a singing member of the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus for eight years and has served on the board of directors for the wayOUT LGBTQ Foundation's Bay Area chapter for four years. Vinney earned his B.A. in human biology with a minor in education from Stanford University. In the wild, Vinney can be found awkwardly holding microphones with both hands at karaoke bars, sprawled across yoga mats in pretzel-like contortions, or flying by the seat of his pants.
Why I joined the Board:
Whether through serving on Leadership Team, co-running social media for the Lavender Pen Tour, singing with three small ensembles, whipping up treats with the Easy Bake Coven, or maintaining our Anti-Racist Starter Pack, I have always sought opportunities to serve the chorus — a community and a legacy that has given me so much.
