JUSTIN KIM
Justin joined SFMGC as a singing member in Fall 2021. During 2023-2024, he served as the inaugural Treasurer of the Leadership Team.
When asked about his chorus legacy during the newbie introduction, he expressed his desire to “carry my passion to every stage and any other opportunity where I can uplift what we do.” Serving on the Board is one of those "other" opportunities.
Justin currently works as a Senior Strategic Finance Manager at Grammarly, where he advises executives on resource allocation decisions, leads financial and
strategic planning processes, and facilitates external corporate communication. However, with experiences spanning from launching a poultry farm in East Africa, to raising capital for a Hollywood celebrity’s skincare brand, to formulating partnership strategies for a startup transforming the antiquated US 911 system, he values having a non-linear career path and multiple passions. Additionally, Justin has a unique understanding of the challenges experienced by first-generation immigrants, having moved to the US by himself at 14.
Justin has been singing since childhood. The experience closest to his heart, prior to SFGMC, was singing with and serving as an elected Business Manager and Board Member of the 160-year-old University of Pennsylvania Glee Club, with which he toured internationally and performed for President Obama at The White House.
Justin received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Economics with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
